highway 16. claudine wong is there outside the home, what are investigators saying, claudine? >> reporter: it has been a long night out here and they are still trying to get to the bottom of this. there are a couple of homes through here and then you have this single entrance and you can see the crime scene tape and you can see at least one or two sheriff's deputies cars and past them you see the home where this discovery was made yesterday afternoon. there is a lot we don't know at this hour, we could know yesterday afternoon between 3:00 and 4:00 sheriff's deputies got a call because there was a man who could not get ahold of his brother, he had been trying for hours and could not get ahold of him. three men were shot in the back bedroom of this home near forestville. police are not saying much, they say they were all shot,

they say they knew each other and they do not believe it was a random crime or murder/suicide but neighbors say it is not knowing which makes it hard to deal with. >> not knowing is unnerving. >> this is a wonderful place. this is a wonderful place... >> reporter: from news chopper 2 you can see the crime scene from where this all took place and we are not sure who owns this house and they had a family member associated with this property. we are also told the coroner would be out here and processing the evidence and we are still trying to confirm that for you at this hour. again it looks like it will be a long day out here near forestville, there is a mobile command unit, it is shut down for now and certainly we are

expecting them to use it today. we do know this investigation is just beginning. live near forestville claudine wong ktvu channel 2 morning news. today fairfield police will tell us the latest into the killing of a 13-year-old girl. kara lou is in fairfield with details on who this young victim was and new photos released by investigators. >> reporter: good morning, i just want to show you this memorial which is still growing, balloons and candles that are still lit. police have identified the 13- year-old girl and they have released photos of her and the image on the right with a pink backpack was captured last thursday just minutes before she was last seen. she lived with a foster family and was reported missing by her

a san jose man may have been stabbed overnight by his roommate. he went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police have at least one person in custody. alex savage will be there with a live report. the u.s. postal service is making an announcement, no more saturday mail delivery. they have scheduled a conference aimed at a plan to save $2 billion a year and the u.s. postal service will no longer deliver mail on saturday but it will continue to deliver packages on saturdays. they are holding a news conference and they will tell us new details in the kevin collins case. he was a 10-year-old boy who disappeared more than 30 years ago. he was leaving the concord

apartment of kevin collins mother and police showed photos of the lead suspect in this case. he died five years ago and he is the focus of an investigation which has been picked up in recent months. >> we started to reopen this case in the cold case unit several months ago and we thought we would take a fresh look at it with fresh eyes and that's what we did. >> now, last week police dug up the concrete home where the suspect lived which is a few feet from the bus stop where kevin coliseum lips was the last -- kevin collins was last seen. a stabbing in san jose, alex savage has arrived at the scene, alex, what are police telling you this morning? >> reporter: well a sergeant said one man is being treated right now for stab wounds after

apparently being stabbed by his roommate. it all happened in this house across the street from us, and we are in south san jose this morning. it is unclear what led up to the stabbing. you can see one squad car remains on scene as the investigation is already wrapped up. they have one man in custody in connection with this attack and apparently the victim walked a mile away and that's where he was found and picked up by par med decision. the sergeant tells us he was picked up with stab wounds and they are considered to be non- life threatening at this point. i asked the sergeant exactly -p what kind of -- exactly what kind of weapon was used, he didn't want to comment if it was a knife or some other type of weapon obviously they will work together to get more information but one man is stabbed with non-life threatening wounds and one man

scene of a triple homicide in west sonoma county. they found the bodies of three men not far from highway 116. investigators say they were all targeted and there is no danger to the general public, we are told. a man from san jose was rushed to the hospital after being stabbed. he has non-life threatening injuries and police say his roommate is now in custody. two bombs were discovered after a young boy was held captive in an underground bunker for more than a week. one was in a plastic pipe that negotiators were using to communicate with the suspect, 65-year-old jimmy lee dykes. they were using a camera to monitor him with the boy and then went in and jimmy lee dykes was killed in a fire

fight. the boy turned 6 yesterday and well wishers signed a giant birthday card and the city is starting a campaign to start the boy and his family to disney world. police in palo alto are looking for a man who they say tried to grab an 11-year-old girl and tried to kidnap her. this is a sketch of the suspect. he is described as white in his 30s and has light colored hair and was wearing a puffy jacket at the time. the girl told police she was riding her bike on emerson street when the man tried to grab her. she screamed and man anded to get -- manage dollars to get away. -- managed to get away. he screamed he was going to kidnap her. boy scouts of america's board is trying to end a ban

north and they will get a little bit of rain out of it tomorrow. they start with patchy fog, sunny breezy but nice, there is no doubt about it especially along the coast and we have seen 20 to 25 miles per hour and it looks good for sunshine, 30s on the temperatures and yesterday it was all 30s to near 50 and that's not the case. 43, yesterday pacifica is 39. 35 santa rosa, san jose 39, even moffett had 39 and that tells you, it's much colder. we had a lot of sunshine on the old weather menu and it looks good, we will be talking about our first rain in awhile. we could use a little more rain and we will have maybe a third of an inch but the cold air will be arriving on friday. a little breeze over there out of the northwest, but it will be sunny to mid-50s upper 50s and very low 60s on
